Even though I never really listened to his music nor did I was ever a major fan of him, I still believe that this moment in time, his death can send out a message to everyone. His music, his dance movies, his talent is what sparked pop music to be what it is today. Who knows if Britney Spears, Rihana, Fall Out boy would even exist without Michael Jackson? Why? Because each of these artists have used dance moves and lyrics from Michael Jacksons mega career. As the saying goes, “Good Artists Copy, But Great Artists Steal.” I’m sure they did not steal lyrics or dance moves without appropriate consent, but that is why these artists are just ‘good’ and Michael Jackson was truly great. You’ve always gotta be original, because if you’re like someone else, you’re just one step down from greatness.

Secondly, with Michael’s passing I really started to think about my family and friends. What would happen if they do suddenly just disappeared? Did I ever get a chance to say goodbye? I’m sure there are people who Michael did not get a chance to say goodbye too and will never able to. And to those who were his friends, what about those who never got that autograph or who never got another chance to see him. Next time you say goodbye to someone, make it count, make it a moment to remember.

And finally, sometimes in life you never can truly appreciate something to the fullest until it’s gone. Remember your favorite toy you used to play with everyday until you lost it and could never find it again? Did you ever think that one toy had a big impact on your day to day lifestyle? Think back to a time when you were away from home for a long period of time. Or a time when the power suddenly went out and you had no Internet. ;o Oh noez! Michael Jackson was remembered on the day he died. Of all of his talents and achievements, not those crazy stuff he did, like dangling children off balconies. Sure that was dumb, but celebrities don’t live normal lives and nobody can say what was going through his mind or if he was under the influence of something. Back on topic, appreciate what you got and who you have, because you will miss them once they are gone. Everyone does.
